James and Kate lived in Seattle, Washington, U.S.A., then moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. After getting up in years and having no family of their own they contacted Archie and Ada (niece) Taylor in Ontario. At this time Archie and Ada lived at Glandine Corners, Little Britain Road. They made arrangements to move to Ontario and live with Archie and Ada. They arrived in Lindsay by rail and were met at the station by Phyllis (Taylor) Tinkess.
