HERMAN BLOOMGREN C. Herman Bloomgren, 94, of 414 N. Cedar St. died Friday at 3:10 p.m. at Cottage Hospital. He was born in Sweden Sept. 12, 1878, and had lived in the Galesburg area since 1902. He had farmed, worked at the Rock Island Arsenal and as a custodian at Knox College until he retired in 1959. He married Ellen S. Nelson in Galesburg in 1902, and she died in 1929. He later married Annie Godby in Davenport, and she also preceded him in death. He is survived by 10 children, Elmer, Leonard, Hugo, Harry, Mrs. Alec Lawson, Miss Esther Bloomgren and Mrs. Ruth Brackett, all of Galesburg, Mrs. Fritz Anderson of Knoxville, Mrs. Arnold Rutledge of Newton, Iowa, and Mrs. John Janes of Cameron; 19 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren. Funeral will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Hinchliff - Pearson West Chapel, where friends may call Sunday evening. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery in Warren County.
