Robert Leon Byrne Sr. passed away at St. Mary's Medical Center from heart failure. He was born Sept. 23, 1945 to Joseph and Martina Bickwermert Byrne. He was one of four children. He worked for Tri-State Flashers as a truck driver and was active in the Last minute CB Radio Club.
Surviving are his wife Carol Byrne, daughters Lisa Byrne, Christina (Shirdon) Stepro, and Melissa Byrne all of Boonville, sons Robert Jr (Christina) of Chandler and Gilbert Wright of Evansville; granddaughters Nancy Byrne, Chasity Stepro, and Angel Nicole Wright; grandsons Shirdon David Stepro, Clayton Byrne, and James Wright. step-sister Karen Byrne of Evansville, sisters Louise Webb, Theresa Wallace, and Mary DePriest all of Evansville. Brothers Eugene of Newburgh and Joseph Jr. of Evansville. He is preceded in death by his parents, grandson Joseph Leon Byrne, and sister Celesta Byrne.
Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery with Ziemer Funeral Home officiating arrangments.
