Funeral services for Gustave W Baltzli, a native of Peru, who died, Wednesday night in Lima,Ohio, conducted in the Fetter-Allen chapel Sunday afternoon with Rev Benjamin Kendall, pastor of the First M E church, officiating. Interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery, with rites at the grave by members of the Eagles' Lodge.
Mr Baltzli was employed at the old Howe factory and the Peru Auto Parts company for a number of years and left here to reside in Lima 18 years ago. His death followed a week's illness of heart trouble.
He was 51 years, 9 mo and 7 days of age, having been born in this city on February 1, 1882, a son of the late Diebolt and Margaret Baltzli.
Mr Baltzli was a member of the Eagles' Lodge in this city and was a past worthy president. He was also a member of the Moose lodge at Wabash.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs Fred Rabe of Wabash,Indiana, and Mrs C A Finster, of Kansas City, Missouri.
