Mr. Hansen was born Aug. 20,. 1920, in Ord, Neb. He came to Oregon in 1938 and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a dairy farmer, In 1956, he married Pearl E. Smith.
A member of the Mulino Community Baptist Church for 25 years, Mr. Hansen was a former secretary and treasurer of the Clackamas county Dairy Improvement Association. He also was a member of the Mulino School Board for 10 years. He exhibited dairy cattle in the Clackamas County Fair for 41 years.
Survivors include his wife, daughter, Roberta Hansen of Canby; sons, Robert of Molalla, and Larry, Garry, and Lloyd, all of Mulino; sisters Luella Hostetler of Hubbard and Viola Carlson of Portland; brothers Harold of Mulino and Orlin of Milton Freewater; and seven grandchildren.
Interment will be in Zion Memorial Park in Canby. The family suggests remembrances to the Walter Hansen Memorial Fund, 12925 S Mulino Road, Canby, Ore. 97013
