Bob attended schools in the Des Moines area and graduated from East High School.
Bob joined the West Des Moines Police Department and was an Officer for 17 years before joining the Pleasant Hill Police Department and retiring after 13 years, rising to the rank of Assistant Chief.
Bob enjoyed animals. He loved to watch sporting events and was proud of the fact he coached the Dowling Hockey Team.
Bob is survived by his wife Nancy. He is also survived by a Step-Daughter Lonie Bristoll and Grand-Son Austin Bristoll from a previous marriage.
Per Bob's wishes there was no service and his wish was that his ashes be scattered in the Smokey Mountains at a later date.
Bob was preceded in death by his mother; Lorna Goettsch.
