Mary Alice (Lewis) Kuhn, 98,
formerly of Foxville, Md., died Sunday, Sept, 18, in Thurmont, at the home of her daughter.

Born in Foxville, she was the daughter of the late David Obediah and Clara Ellen (Toms) Lewis.

Her husband Charles Andrew Kuhn, died in 1977.

She was a life member and the eldest member of Mt. Bethel United Methodist Church, in Foxville.

She is survived by six daughters, Hazel V. Weigel, with whom she resided, Edna L. Lewis and Emma M. Humerick, also of Thurmont, Ruth A. Brandenburg of Frederick,Md., and Catherine C. Hurley and Betty J. Draper, both of Foxville; one sister Haven P. Kendall of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.; 30 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 29 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Home, 615 E. Main St., Thurmont. The Rev. William C. Kercheval will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Bethel Cemetery in Foxville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. For the convenience of friends, the doors of the funeral home will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
