Carl Ben Kyllo, 87, of the Macksburg area, died at Willamette Falls Hospital Tuesday, May 26, 1998, from an embolism suffered following knee surgery.

He was born at Rural Dell on Jan. 9, 1911, the son of Ole and Randi Hofstad Kyllo, and lived in the Molalla area until 1940, when he moved to a farm in Macksburg where he lived the remainder of his life.

Surviving are three sons, Jim, Jerry and Bill, all of Canby; a brother, George, of Lincoln City; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. His wife, the former Alice Hostetler, preceded him in death on Dec. 28, 1996.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Willamette Falls Hospice, 1500 Division St., Oregon City 97045.

Funeral services were held May 30, at Zion Mennonite Church near Hubbard. Burial was in the cemetey adjacent to the church.
