Fred L Myers, 53, of 379 E. Sixth, died at 4:45 a.m., Thursday at Dukes Hospital.
Mr. Myers, a postman w1th the Peru Post Office, had entered the hospital on Monday for a checkup. Death was unexpected.
He had spent his lifetime here. He was born In Miami County May 1, 1910, the son of William H. and Melissa (Reynolds) Myers. He was married June 1, 1934, to Eleanor Beck, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Judy) Garner, Peru, and Mrs. Richard (Carol) Fernandes, Homestead, Fla.; two brothers, Truman V. Myers, Sarasota, Fla., and Roy Myers, Peru; three sisters, Mrs. Grace Bowman, Peru; Mrs. Bessie Wood and Mrs. Alice Shafer, Rural Route, Denver, and one granddaughter. Two brothers and a sister are deceased.
Mr. Myers was a member of the First Christian Church and Letter Carriers Association.
Funeral services will be in the church at 3 pm., Monday, with the Rev. Avery W. Miley officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Eikenberry Funeral Home after 7 p.m., Saturday and at the church one hour before the services.
