Joyce P. Abney, age 75, of Tavares,
passed away on Friday, September 3, 2010.
She was a lifelong resident of Lake and
Sumter Counties. Joyce was a member of
the First Baptist of Tavares and was a
retired secretary after 30 years at
Tavares Elementary.
She was a loving wife and mother and
enjoyed her Church.
Joyce is survived by her son, Tommy
(Elizabeth) Abney of Howey-in-the-Hills;
daughter, Charlene (Kit) Copeland of
Wildwood; sisters, Nadene Blair of
Eustis, Maxine Gay of Tampa; grand
children, Lisa Lawson, Tommy Abney, Jr.,
Brianne Abney, Jaret Russell,
Bobby Jackson and Mary Rowland as
well as nine great grandchildren.
