In 1920 Bonnie and her best friend, Laura Graf, both went to work as Operators for the Telephone Company in Baraboo.

On 21 June 1922 Bonnie Fern Walluks married Frederick Arthur Jaquish in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
Shortly after their marriage, Bonnie and Fred moved to Madison, Dane County, Wisconsin where Fred worked as a Machinist.

The Jaquish family lived in Madison for many years; in the early 1940's Bonnie and Fred moved to the Wisconsin Dells in Columbia County to open and operate a number of tourist cabins. Toward the end of her life, Bonnie returned to live in Baraboo. She passed away on 18 July 1994 at the age of 91.
