Armstong, Iowa - Funeral services were held here yesterday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church for Mrs. John Gute; the Rev. Father Wolf having charge.
Mrs. Gute was born in Carroll county 52 years ago and died Sunday afternoon at her home east of Armstrong of heart disease. She became suddenly ill and died almost immediately. Surviving are her husband, a daughter of near Fairmont and a son at home.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mrs. Conrad Landsteiner of Fairmont and a son Leonard, at home. The family had lived in Armstrong for 12 years.

Ella was the daughter of Phillip and Magdaline Spieker Schulte of Auburn, Sac County, Iowa. She was a sister of:
Phillip Jr., Frank, George, Mary (Mrs. John Thelen), Joseph, Lottie (Charlotte - Mrs. William Magner), Ludwig, and Tony.
She married John Gute on January 17, 1905 at Breda, Iowa.
