Mary Eleanor (Knight) Abercrombie was born on January 18, 1918, and died on February 13, 2011. She was born in Russell, Oklahoma, and was one of six children born to Mary (White) and Ambrose Van Knight.
In 1955, Mary and her husband, Palmer C. Abercrombie moved to Pryor, where they owned and operated Creamline Dairy. Palmer preceded her in death in 1978. Mary was a member of the First Methodist Church in Pryor, the Movers Sunday School Class, the UMW, and Friends of the Library.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Abercrombie Joyner and her husband, Russell M. Joyner of Houston, Texas, her grandson, Steven M. Joyner of Austin, Texas, her granddaughter, Kellis (Kelly) Joyner Frazier of Houston , her great grandchildren, Brett, Lauren and Sara Joyner, and Nicole, Kevin and Kristin Lyons, and by her great-great grandson, Barrett Russell Lyons. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Sylvia Abercrombie of Tulsa and her dear friend, Pat Walker of Springdale, AR.
