A very accomplished artist in the Lubbock area, Dala Pat (Custer) Addington went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 25, 2011 at the age of 79. She was born August 14, 1931 in Clairemont, Texas to Pat and Bessie (Hunter) Custer. Pat married James Addington November 25, 1947. They made their home in Lubbock, where she worked as a PBX Operator for the Federal Government. She was a member of the Garden & Art Center and West Texas Watercolor Society. She was of the Lutheran Faith.

Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Phyllis Combest and husband Van and son, Russ Addington, all of Lubbock.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Addington, on October 14, 1998; one brother, Lionel Custer; one sister, Nell Kealey; and one grandson, Steven Hyer, on September 13, 2007.
