Edith Virginia Richardson Reed, 74, died at 5 AM Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1997, at her West Lafayette home. Born in Morgantown, IN, on Sept. 11, 1923, she graduated from Morgantown High School in 1941. She married Andrew Reed on Oct. 6, 1941, in Martinsville; he died July 23, 1971.

Mrs. Reed had lived in West Lafayette since 1949. She was a homemaker, and her hobbies were sewing, flower gardening, and fishing.

Surviving are two daughters, Virginia (Mrs. Ronney) Wolf of West Lafayette and Rosetta (Mrs. Wilbur) Smith of Delphi; a son, Robert Reed of West Lafayette; a
sister, Mrs. Beatrice Wagaman of Martinsville; a brother, Ernest Richardson of Daytona Beach, FL; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother, Oren Richardson.
