Mrs. George E. Abbott
Lottie E. Abbott, 79, wife of George E. Abbott of Honey Brook, died Friday evening at Ephrata Community Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Abbott was a daughter of the late Ralph E. and Sally Kurtz Seaboldt. A life-long resident of Honey Brook she was a graduate of Honey Brook High School and Peirce Business School of Philadelphia and was formerly employed as a stenographer by H.C Bucher of Honey Brook.
She was a member a member of Honey Brook Methodist Church, a charter member of the Order of Eastern Star 417 of Honey Brook, in which she was worthy matron in 1947-48, a member of White Shrine and of Auxiliary to Honey Brook Fire Co. She and her husband operated the East End Restaurant in Honey Brook for many years.
Surviving in addition to her widower are two daughters: Mary Helen, wife of Alvin Leisey, Jr. of Ringwood, N.J. and Irene A Detterline at home, two sisters, Mary, widow of Andrew Lutz of Hartford, Conn. And Betty, wife of J. Travers Loughrey of Ardmore, a brother, Harry Seaboldt of Philadelphia, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Eppihimer Funeral Home of Honey Brook with interment in Honey Brook United Presbyterian Cemetery.
