Clark M. Arter, 86, of Aurora, died Thursday, September 28, 1995 at his home. He was born February 22, 1909 in Normantown, Illinois to Frank and Lucie (Grate) Arter. He married Rita Frieders August 22, 1942 in Aurora.
He retrired from Smith Corona Merchant. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army during WWII. Mr. Arter was a trustee of St. Mary's Parrish, a member of the Holy Name Society, the Aurora Knights of Columbus, the VFW and on the Advisory Board for the Salvation Army Golden Diners.
He was preceded in death by his son, Gary; his parents, Lucie and Frank Arter; and his brother, Fay.
Funeral from the Daleiden lake Street Mortuary will be Monday, October 2, 1995 at 9:30 a.m. to St. Mary's Church at 10 a.m.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 to 8 at the Daleiden Lake St. Mortuary, with a rosary to be recited at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice of Aurora.
