Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 24, 2011, at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Valhalla Cemetery with Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends on tonight, March 23, 2011, from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years Tracy Abernathy; his children, Briganna, Clay, and Camden Abernathy; his father, Clay Abernathy (Vickie); his mother, Kathy Montgomery; his sisters, Kristi Caffee and Dana Adkins; his brother, Daniel Adkins; his grandmother, Jane Nichols Brown (Bob); his great-grandparents, Morris and Edith Rogers and Virgil Perry; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Mr. Abernathy was an employee of Cheney Lime for the past three years. He was a graduate of Hueytown High School Class of 1993.
