Holyoke, Mass. Jan. 28, 1938. Dillon Brothers Funeral Home, 124 Chestnut St. Established 1872. He was a Foreman at the old Crocker Manufacturing Company Paper Mill. He died at home at 1465 Dwight Street. He came from Ireland with his widowed mother and 6 siblings and settled in Denver, Colorado. He married Annie Theresa Doran on 8 Jan 1891 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church (Parish), Denver, Colorado by Rev. J.P. Corrigan. Witnesses were Bridget "Bridgie" McAlpine and Pat McGuinness. They had a total of 8 children, one of their children born in Colorado also died there. Another child born in Colorado died in Holyoke. They moved to Holyoke, Ma. sometime between 1891 and 1895 and lived on East Street.

7. Anthony Joseph "Tony" McAlpine - 28 March 1906 Holyoke, Ma - 20 July 1950 Chicopee, Ma. He was murdered and his body was found in the Ct. river at the end of the Chicopee St. boat ramp, unsolved murder.
8. Agnes Viola McAlpine (Sr. Anna Patrick, S.S.J.) - 27 Aug 1908 Holyoke, Ma. - 3 Sept 1958 Springfield, Ma.

All the children were born at home and the ones that died young was from the Cholera epidemic. Child #5 and #8 are buried in Springfield in St. Michael's Cemetery with the Catholic Sisters of St. Joseph.
