The birth year date on her headstone is wrong. According to 1900 Federal census she was born December 1869.
She died in her home at 434 Maple Street, Holyoke, Hampden, Massachusetts the morning of 29 May 1951 and buried 31 May 1951.
I was age 2 years, 10 months & 9 days old when she died and I remember my parents taking me to visit her often. She was a small, diminutive woman.

Mrs. Sarah J. Denton

Holyoke, May 29 -- Mrs. Sarah J. (McNairn) Denton of 434 Maple St., died today in her home after a short illness. She was the widow of the late Robert J. Denton. Mrs. Denton was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and had been a resident of this city for the past 70 years. She was a member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality of Sacred Heart Church.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. George Bissonnette (Meta Gertrude Denton) and Mrs. Henry J. Nugent (Irene May Denton) both of this city; Mrs. Albert E. Fox (Milda Marie Denton) of Weymouth and Mrs. Arthur F. Fisher (Robenia Madeline Denton) of Quincy; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will take place at the James P. Hobert & Sons funeral home Friday morning.
