Jeff Man's Son Shot To Death
PFC Richard L. Jackson, 18, whose father, Benjamin Jackson, resided in Jeffersonville, was shot and killed in Korea Tuesday. The Army announced he was shot by another enlisted man but gave no details.
Jackson lived at 1232 Minton Drive, New Albany, and had attended New Albany High School before enlisting in the Army a year ago.
Also surviving are his mother, Margaret Jackson, New Albany; three brothers; a sister; and his grandmother, Nellie Williams, New Albany.
The body is expected to arrive in New Albany in about 10 days.
