Maxine Lois LAWSON Mattick, beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, lost her courageous battle with cancer on November 27, 2009. Maxine was born to Marion (Bud) Sylvester Lawson and Ella Marie LOEF on July 13, 1925. Maxine married Captain Roy Wolf Mattick in 1941. She was a housewife and sewed beautiful clothes for several years. Then she went to work at Fair Oaks Ranch and later Graham Motors. She attended the Santa Rosa Vocational Nursing Program and served as director of nursing to severl nursing homes.

Maxine is survived by her children; Michael Lawson Mattick and wife Alice of Waxahachie, Royanne MATTICk Greenwood and husband Bob of Boerne, Patrick D. Mattick and wife Marcia of Boerne, Mark S. Ike Mattick and wife Sandy of Boerne, and Carol MATTICk Postert of Boerne. Maxine is also survived by her sister Mildred Hartman and her cousin Marjorie Herring, both of San Antonio. She leaves behind her grandchildren; Amy Epperson and husband Bailey, J.W. Dorrow and wife Marjorie, Robyn Valenzuela and husband Jessie, Lyle Mattick and wife Natalie, Megan Waterman and husband Art, Keaton Mattick and wife Nikki, Kendra Mattick, Jamie D'Spain and husband Mike, Roy Postert, and Jill and husband Dustin Klemstein. She was blessed with great grandchildren Wesley Dorrow, Madison Dorrow, Aubrie Valenzuela, Annie Waterman, Alexis Camille D'Spain, Cody Mattick, Kaden Mattick Ferry, and Casey and Shelby Klemstein.

Vistation will be at Ebensberger-Fisher Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, from 5-8PM. The funeral service will be at St. John Luthern Church of Boerne on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at 10AM. Interment will be later that afternoon at 2PM at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio.

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to the charity of your choice.
