Effingham- Roscoe K. Volts; 93 of Effingham died at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 1985 at St. Anthony's Hospital, Effingham, from injuries he sustained in an automobile accident.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Centenary United Methodist Church, Effingham, with burial in Oakridge Cemetery, with military rites.
Mr. Volts was born in Chester, Neb, the son of Benjamin F. and Nora E. Volts. He worked for the Van Camp Hardware Co. for about 35 years and was a member of Effingham American Legion Post 120; VFW Post 1769; the Last Man's Club; Effingham Elks Lodge; 40 et 8; and was a World War 1 veteran.
He married Margaret Humes in 1922. She died in 1970.
Surviving are a daughter, Gwendolyn E. Merry of Effingham; sisters, Mildred Allen, Virginia Kelley, Claire Rose, all of Portland, Ore; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
