In loving memory of WONG SHEE ONG, 95 years old, passed away August 20, 2002. She was born November 17, 1906 in Canton, China and emigrated to the United States in 1932. In 1945, she and her husband, Jeong Koh Ong, open Koh Ong Food Store in the West End. She was preceded in death by her husband, her son, Robert Yee Ong, her daughter, Mary Ann Wong and her grandson, Robert Yee Ong, Jr. Mrs. Ong is survived by her sons, Albert and wife Natalie Ong and Richard Ong; daughters Jean Sugita, Virginia and husband Dr. Edward Lew of Los Angeles, Margaret and husband Hazael Garza, Irene and husband Jack Joe. She is also survived by grandsons John, James, Richard and Dr. David Garza, Derek Wong, Darren and Dr. Kevin Lew and Gary Ong; granddaughters Lisa Sugita, Michele McKian, Dana Ip, Kara Lew, Dr. Dina Lee, Dr. Stacy Ong, Erica Joe and Paula Ong and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive visitors from 6 - 8 p.m., Friday, August 23, 2002 at Earthman Hunters Creek Chapel, 8303 Katy Freeway. A service celebrating Mrs. Ong's life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2002 at Earthman Hunter's Creek Chapel followed by a burial at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.
