David H. Breneman, 82, a native of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and San Bernardino resident for the past 26 years, died yesterday at a San Bernardino hospital. Survivors include a son, J. A. Breneman of Kansas City; two daughters, Mrs. H. D. Bell of Meredian, Idaho, and Mrs. John Karrigan of Bala, Kan.; a nephew, H. J. Benjamin of San Bernardino; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Hughes of Altadena, Mrs. Josephine Reed of Kansas City, and Mrs. Anna Bueker of Newton, Kan. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday fro the Mark B. Shaw memorial chapel with interment in Mountain View cemetery. Rev. Boyce Van Osdel officiating. Two hymns, "Crossing the Bar" and "The Lord's Prayer," were played during services. Friends served as pallbearers. Source: San Bernardino, California newspaper of 23 & 26 April 1944.
