Marjorie Wright Miller was a poet. The following poem is from her published work entitled, "Fragments Grave & Gay." The title is Love Is Forever which is also the transcription on her tombstone.

Love is Forever
Grass withers 'neath the sun,
Flowers fade when season's done.
Clouds move on and soon are gone,
But Love is forever.

Flight of bird from the nest
Ends at dusk and comes to rest;
Sea-waves break at their crest,
But Love is forever.

Moments we would hold are brief,
Short-lived are the hours of grief
As the falling Autumn leaf,
But Love is Forever.

Life is but a night and day,
Death only a sleep away.
Nor joy nor tears can ever stay.
But Love is forever.
