May Annie Cooper, age 95 of Dallas died January 29, 1996 in Dallas. Funeral services were February 1, 1996 at Marshall and Marshall Chapel in Whitney with Rev. Joe Bob Boyd and Rev. James Cannaday officiating. Interment will be in the Bethlehem Cemetery near Whitney.
Mrs. Cooper was born February 13, 1900 in Hillsboro. She was the daughter of John Wesley and Freeta Sabrina (Fields) Williams. She lived around the Whitney area most of her life. She lived in Dallas since 1958. She married Thurman Cooper on December 5, 1933. He preceded her in death January 6, 1980. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Doris Cooper November 22, 1950.
Mrs. Cooper was a member of Whitney Missionary Baptist Church in Whitney and Prairie Creek Baptist Church in Dallas. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Cooper is survived by three sons, Johnny Cooper of Mesquite, Jack Cooper of Dallas and Gene Cooper of Waco; two daughters, Kathleen Slovak of Dallas, Joyce Rampy of Dallas; two brothers, Vance Williams of McKinney and Sherrill Williams of Arlington; one sister, Nelma Golden of Mineral Wells; six grandchildren, Billy Gene Cooper, Vickie and Johnny Cooper Jr., James Cannaday, Jacob Rampy, Valerie and Gary Cook, Donna and Kevin Anderson.
Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors of Whitney were in charge of funeral arrangements.
