FINAL RITES TODAY FOR MRS. BEHRINGER
"Mrs. Alice Minnie Behringer, age 84, died at 6 a.m. Thursday in the Whitney Hospital following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held today, Friday, at 2 p.m. from the First Baptist Church. Rev. Fred F. DeVaney of Waco will officiate, with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery.
Mrs. Behringer was born at Ledbetter, Texas in 1874. She had been a resident of Hill County for the past 52 years. her husband preceded her in death April 20, 1925. Two children also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Behringer was a member of the First Baptist Church in Whitney.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Clara Harris of Whitney, Mrs. Lodie Shelton of Fresno, Calif., and Mrs. Jenny Petty of Waco; one son, Drew Behringer of Waco; five brothers, Charles Redkey of Giddings, Allen and Lee Redkey of Ledbetter, Frank Redkey of Houston and F.C. Redkey of Port Arthur; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
