Mr. Eli Branstetter, 86 years of age, died at his home in Le Grande, Hart county, Friday morning at 9:45 o’clock. Death was due to infirmities of age.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mittie Goff Branstetter, and eleven children. They are Messrs. Jesse Branstetter, Oklahoma; Roy Branstetter, of Adair county; Julius Branstetter, Indianapolis; Edward, Luther, Guy, Harry, Dan, Nat, and Howard Branstetter, LeGrande, and one daughter, Mrs. Jake England, also of LeGrande. Two brothers, Messrs. Sam Branstetter, of Oklahoma, and George Branstetter, of Texas, and one sister, Mrs. Amanda Prescott, of Texas, also survive. Mrs. W. L. Dethel, of this city, was a niece.
Mr. Branstetter was one of the outstanding citizens of his community and his death marks the passing of one of the oldest and finest citizens of Hart county. He was a member of the Baptist church.
Funeral service was held at the residence Saturday afternoon with burial in the Hiseville cemetery.

His death certificate lists that he died in Barren County but his obituary lists his home in LeGrande, Hart County. On his death certificate it looks like they wrote Hart and marked it out and wrote Barren next to it. On the 1930 census his home was in Hart County on Le Grande and Three Springs Road.
Probable birth location is Barren County. On the 1850 census him and hsi family are in Barren County, his father is also listed in Barren County on the 1840 census.
His sons, Roy and Daniel, married sisters.
