OOTEN, FLORA - age 92 of Clinton, TN passed away Friday March 6, 2009 at her residence. Flora enjoyed being a mom, reading, sewing, quilting and gardening. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merida Ooten, Sr.; son, Cecil Ooten; daughters, Mary Kathleen and Phylis Ooten; grandson, Shawn O'Connor. Survivors: sons & daughters in law: Merida Jr. & Nancy Ooten of Clinton, Jack & Mary Ooten of Oliver Springs, Keith & Paulette Ooten of Clinton, Larry Ooten of Clinton, Carl & Jan Ooten of Clinton, Jerry & Gretchen Ooten of Clinton; daughters & sons in law: June Watts of Murfreesboro, Jean & John Watson of Powell, Joyce & Kenneth O'Connor of Clinton, Tammy & Jeffrey Harrison of Knoxville; 27 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Flora's family will receive her friends on Sunday March 8 from 6 - 9 PM in the chapel of Jones Mortuary in Clinton. The funeral service will be Monday, March 9 at 1 PM at the Clinton Church of God with the Rev. Curtis Akers officiating. The interment will follow the service at the Springs Chapel Church Cemetery in Jamestown, TN.
