Roland W. Choquette Sr., 72, 3310 Dodge St., died Friday, May 24, 1991, at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Monsignor Thomas Donahoe officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Monday, with a parish vigil service at 7 pm and a rosary at 7:45 pm at Larkin Morningside Funeral Home.

Mr. Choquette was born June 1, 1918, in Salix Iowa. He married Lois A. Dinkel July 13, 1936, in Sioux City. He worked as a machinist for Wilson Trailer, Gunderson Equipment Company and Hydraulic Sales and Service. He retired in 1983. He was a fisherman and a camper.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roland Jr and Ann, and Michael and Mary, all of Sioux city; two daughters and sons-in-law; Julie and Jerry Peterson and Barb and Doug Lewis, all of Sioux City; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Bernard of New York, N.Y. and Paul and Sonia of Denver, Colorado; three sisters, Delores Morrow of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; Mrs. Bob (Fabienne) Gunie of Lago Vista, Texas, and Theresa Vondrak of LeMars, Iowa; five granddaughters; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rene.

Pallbearers will be Keith Maxfield, Steve Johnson, Mark and Ramon Choquette, Doug Vondrak, Robert Dinkel Jr, and Jason Peterson.
