A good and honorable man who set an example of honor and loyalty to friendship for all to follow. He was a drover and drove cattle to Abilene,Kansas with and for Robert Branch Johnson (1834-1870) Johnson died in Abilene, Kansas at the end of a cattle drive. George Glenn, ex-slave honored his earlier owner and later employer by single-handedly returning the body to Colorado County, Texas to be interred with family members.Mr Glenn spent 43 days alone on the trail with the remains of his employer. Well done, Sir.
