Hammond and Nancy Hammond deed to their daughter, Mary Lucy, 5 slaves, 1 mare, 5 cows with calves. 31 Aug 1827, Marengo Co., marriage bond of Robert Ratcliff to Mary Lucy. They married on 3 Sep 1827. After a long life and Robert Ratcliff's death, Mary donated land to the location of the present day Pine Grove Baptist Church and Cemetery.
