He attended St. Mary's Catholic School. When he was fifteen years old, he took over the operation of his father's barber shop after his father's sudden death. Though this ended Tony's formal education, he never stopped learning.
He married Madeline Ruocco on June 14, 1937 and they had two children, Robert Anthony and Linda Jean.
He was the proprieter of Tony's the Shop in Painted Post until 1955. Tony was very active in the Corning Little Theater group. He served in the National Guard during the war years. He was a fourth-degree Knights of Columbus, and a member of Kiwanis.
In 1955 he and his family moved to Hollywood, FL. There he was the proprieter of Valhalla Barber Shop and became active in politics. In 1986 he and his wife moved to North Carolina after his retirement.
Tony had five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
