Virginia Allbritten. 80 CAIRO, Ill.

Virginia L. Allbritten, 80, of Cairo died at 2:45 a.m. Monday at Daystar Care Center.

A native of Anna, Mrs. Allbritten was the owner of the former Mark Twain Restaurant and Mack's Barbecue. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Cairo Junior Women's Club, the Cairo Business and Professional Women's Club, the Cairo Woman's Club and the Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

Surviving are one son, Ronald T. Simmons of Villa Ridge; three grandchildren, Angie Simmons of Dongola, Bree Hileman of Olive Branch and Allen Simmons of San Antonio; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Tommy Simmons; her second husband, Leon Allbritten; and her parents, Green and Lucille Johnston Sneed.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Barkett Funeral Home with the Rev. Kelly Cox officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery in Mounds.

Friends may call after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Cairo Elks Lodge No. 651, BPOE, 217 8th St., Cairo, IL 62914.
