Barron E. DeLoach - SAVANNAH - Barron E. DeLoach, 73, died Thursday, March 3, 2011, at Spanish Oaks Retreat after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Barron was born in Glennville, GA on January 11, 1938 and was a 1956 graduate of Glennville High School. He lived most of his life in Savannah and retired from International Paper after 44 years of service. Barron was a member of Savannah Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vonda H. DeLoach; sisters, Marjorie D. Folger, Mildred D. Durrence, and Gail D. Mock; and brother, Grady F. DeLoach. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie E. "Speedy" and Kim DeLoach, and grandson, Jordan, all of Ludowici, GA; brother, Barney G. DeLoach (Louise) of Savannah; sister, Ora Jean D. Kniphfer of Savannah; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum. The family suggests in lieu of flowers remembrances be made to the Alzheimer's Association , 201 Television Circle, Savannah, GA 31406.
