Gerald Lee Stuver passed away peacefully from a sudden bout of pneumonia on February 23, 2011 at the age of 93. He was born on October 23, 1917 in Akron, Ohio and came to California when he was 6 years old. He grew up in Venice, CA and had two duties in the U.S. Navy. Gerald was very proud of his career as a manufacturing engineer in the aerospace industry and spoke of it often. Gerald was very active and loved to travel as often as possible. Gerald was predeceased by his loving wife, Patricia May Stuver, all his brothers and sisters, his daughter, Jacqueline Bither and grandson, James Shryack. He is survived by his daughter, Penelope Olsen, (Don) of Warsaw, MO; his sons, Stephen Stuver (Deborah) of Long Beach and Harry Stuver of Torrance. Gerald is also survived by his grandchildren, Michael, Trisha, Andrew, Sandy, Paul, Steven, Robbie; his great-grandchildren, Sara, Ben, Michelle, Ian, Neve, Mia and Skyler; and his great-great-grandchild, Lilly. He will truly be missed and be in our hearts forever. There will be an informal graveside service held Saturday, March 5 at noon at Inglewood Cemetery, 3801 W. Manchester Blvd. in Inglewood.
