Edward F. Wolbert Sr. of Snydersburg, employed for many years in coal mining and the lumbering business, died Sunday in Brookville Memorial Home after and extended illness and on his 84 birthday.
He was born April 18, 1892 at Snydersburg, a son of Frederick and Margaret Mottmiller Wolbert.
Mr. Wolbert was a member of St. Joseph Church in Lucinda. He was marred June 19, 1917 to the former Genevieve Schupp. She died August 17, 1957.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Walter(Marion)Hepfl of Clarion RD 2 and Nicholas (Grace)Troese of Clarion; five sons, Quinton J. and Regis J Wolbert of Sndyersburg, Howard A Wolbert of Huefner, Dennis J Wolbert of Redlands California, and Earl P Wolbert of Crown; a sister, Mrs. Edward (Tillie)Beary of Fryburg; two brothers, Jerome Wolbert of Erie and Frederick Wolbert of Snydersburg; 26 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his parents, four sons, a daughter, a grandson, five sisters and four brothers, along with his wife.
Friends may call after 7 pm today at Moore-Borland Funeral Home in Leeper, where the family will receive friends from 7 -9 pm today and from 2-4 and 7-9 Tuesday. There will be a recitation of the rosary at 8 pm Tuesday in the funeral home. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 pm Wednesday in St. Joseph's Church at Lucinda with the pastor, Rev Joseph Burke, as celebrant. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
