Born November 11, 1900, he was a son of John and Margaret Groner Schupp. He married Choletta Eisenman on June 27, 1923, and she survives.
Mr. Schupp was the owner and operator of private coal and clay mines in Clarion County for a number of years. He also was a life-lone farmer in Knox Township.
He was a member of St. Joseph Church in Lucinda and the Knights of St. George.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. George (Madeline)Boyles of Wheatland and Mrs. Francis ( Margie) Huefner of Clarion; one brother Charles L. Schupp of Lucinda; one grandson; two granddaughters; and six great-grand children.
Friends may call after 7 pm today at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion, where the family will receive friends from 7-9 today and 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Friday.
A mass of resurrection will be held at 9:30 am Saturday at St. Joseph's Church, with Rev. James O'Hara as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Church Cemetery.
A rosary vigil service will be held at 8 pm Friday in the funeral home.
