Frederick A. (Bob)Wolbert, 69, of Snydersburg, A retired coal miner, died early Friday morning at his home.
He was born April 3, 1908 in Sndyersburg, a son of Frederick and Mary Mottmiller Wolbert. He was employed as a coal miner for many years prior to his retirement. He later worked for the Divco-Wayne Trailer Manufacturing Plant.
Mr Wolbert was a member of St. Joseph Church in Lucinda. On November 25, 1936 he was united in marriage with the former Mary D Weaver who survives. Also surviving are six sons, Frederick Jr. of Northfield, Ohio, William of Snydersburg, Thomas of Lucinda, and Donald of Seneca and Gregory of Knox, and Dale at home; three daughters, Mrs. Leslie M (Mary Lou) Douglas of Erie, Mrs. James(Barbara)Fiscus of Limestone and Mrs. John(Kathleen) Obenrader of Oil City; one sister, Mrs. Earl(Ottillia)Beary of Fryburg; one brother, Jerome Wolbert of Erie, and 34 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and four brothers.
Friends may call any time after 2pm today at the Moore-Borand Funeral Home in Leeper. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 pm today and Sunday.
Rev. Joseph Burke, pastor St. Joseph's Church in Lucinda will lead the recitation of the rosary at 8pm Sunday. He will be the celebrant for the funeral mass at 10 am Monday in St. Joseph's Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Lucinda, Pennsylvania.
