The remains of Capt.R.T.Vann,whose
death occurred at Middlesboro,KY.,
were brought here for burial Friday.
The funeral was conducted by Dr.
J.M.Anderson.Interment in the
Presbyterian Cemetery.The deceased
was well known here,he having lived
near Rutledge for many years.

He was a member of Rutledge Baptist
Church and also belonged to the
Masonic Fraternity and was buried
with Masonic honors.He is survived
by several children.

R.T. VANN DIES AT AGE OF SEVENTY-SEVEN
R.T.Vann,77 years old,died at his
home on Exeter Avenue at 8 o'clock
this morning.Mr.Vann is survived by
five daughters and six sons.One
daughter,Miss Bertha Vann,lives in
Middlesboro.

The funeral will be held Wednesday
afternonn at 1 o'clock at the
residence.Rev.Sam P.Martin will
officiate.The remains will be
shipped to Rutledge,Tenn.,for
interment.The Masonic Lodge will
have charge of the funeral.
