He was born Sept. 6, 1903 in Augusta County, a son of the late Francis Marion and Lula Virginia Ellinger Claytor.
Mr. Claytor was a crane operator for the Fairfield Bridge Co.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Estelle Claytor; two daughters, Mrs. J. T. Balser and Mrs. Archie Tyree, both of Buena Vista; one son, Malcolm L. Claytor of Witheville; three sisters, Mrs. H. B. Campbell, Mrs. R. A. Wheeler, and Mrs. E. R. Morris, all of Waynesboro, and six grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday from Harrison Chapel with burial in the Falling Spring Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Lexington.
