Funeral services for Tomas G. Vinson, 84, killed when struck by an auto Wednesday evening in Carrollton, were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Church of Christ in Carrollton, conducted by the Rev. Kitchenside, assisted by the Rev. Campbell, under the direction of the Dickerson Funeral Home, Bogard.

Burial was in Coloma cemetery.

A double quartette of young people of the church sang "Unplotted Day", "Last Mile Away," and "Never Grow Old."
Mr. Vinson, son of William and Margaret Smith Vinson, was born near Coloma in Carroll county on June 29,1863. He was united in marriage on August 22, 1887 with Lou Ellen Payne who preceded him in death 22 years ago.

He was the father of six children, two of whom died in infancy. Those surviving are E. V. Vinson, Chillicothe, Mrs. Marshall Macklin, Chillicothe, Mrs. Nettie Owens, Carrollton and Mrs. Forrest Simmons, Chillicothe. Other survivors are 22 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

One brother, two sisters, one half-sister and two half-brothers preceded him in death.
