Eva Mae Simmons, 60, of Huntington, W.Va., arrived in the bosom of Jesus, her Savior, on Wednesday, February 23, 2011.
Eva was born May 10, 1950, in Cabell County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Oris and Fern Irby Leep.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Mills Chapel Freewill Baptist Church on Buffalo Creek Road, where her husband Amos is the Pastor.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ivan Leep four sisters, Phyllis Leep, Reba Smith, Charlotte Crockett and Virginia Jordan.
Surviving is her husband of 44 years, Amos Simmons, two sons, Amos Simmons II (Renee'), Kevin Simmons (Diania), foster-son, Stanley Peterman (Jessica), five grandsons, Andrew Simmons, Jacob Simmons, Stanley Peterman, Michael Finley, Joshua Finley, two granddaughters, Amanda Staley, Ashley Peterman, one brother, Paul Leep (Jean), five sisters, Janice Bradshaw (Glen), Alice Blankenship (Toliver), Barbara Perry (Charles), Joanne Adkins (Randall) and Andrea Byrd (Mike).
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the Reger Funeral Chapel, by Pastor Willis Mills and Pastor Steve Williams. Burial will follow in Docks Creek Cemetery, Kenova, W.Va.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Reger Funeral Home, Huntington, W.Va.
