Officer John Poffinbarger, DSN 5878, was commissioned as a Police Officer on 12/06/1965. After graduating from the academy he was assigned to the 3Rd District on 03/28/1966. He remained in the 3Rd District until 09/11/1978 when he was assigned to the 3rd District Detective Bureau.
