Funeral services for Doyle Taylor, Laverne resident were held in the Apostolic Faith Church here last Saturday afternoon. Mr. Taylor, 58, died at his home here in Laverne Wednesday, February 7. Rev. Jim Fox and Rev. Lowell Long officiated at the service. Burial was at the Laverne Cemetery under the direction of Seeger Funeral Home. Silas Doyle Taylor, son of Silas and Chloe, was born November 28, 1914 at Beaver. As a youth, Doyle attended the Camp Creek School in Beaver County. On February 3, 1938 he was married to Blanche Walker at Beaver. They became the parents of three children.
Mr. and Mrs. Taylor lived on a farm in Beaver County for several years, until ill health forced them to move to town. For the last 25 years they have made their home in Laverne.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons Verl D. Taylor, Denver, Colo.; and Alvin O. Taylor, Alva; one daughter, Mrs. Terry (Eunice) Aldrich of Laverne; his mother Mrs. Chloe Taylor, Laverne; two brothers, Bobby Taylor, Denver, Co.; and Jack Taylor, Beaver; three sisters, Mrs. Glen (Eva) Howard of Logan; Mrs. George (Birdie) Hesler, Otario, Calf.; and Mrs. Howard (Lois) Daniel of Laverne and five grandchildren.
