Rowena Isabel Evert was born in 1878 in Crown Point, Lake County, Indiana. Rowena's Parents were John and Theodocia Orlinda Riddle Evert. Rowena came by covered wagon, with her parents, at a very young age to McCook, Nebraska. Rowena, along with her parents went to Hyannis, Nebraska in 1888. She married Henry L. Graves on 17 June 1895. Rowena and Henry had 3 children. Their first born child died shortly after birth in Hyannis and is buried on the Graves Ranch in Hyannis. Daughter, Ida was born in Hyannis in 1900 and died in 1997. Son, Earl Leonard, was born in 1904. Rowena and Henry lived in Hyannis during the early 1900's, moved to Okemah, Oklahoma after June 1910, lived in Denver, Colorado during the 1920's. Rowena and husband, Henry, along with their children, entered Alberta on 12 October 1924.
