Harry D. Bentzel II, 58, passed away Thursday evening, September 9, 2004, at his residence. He was born on August 21, 1946, in York to the late Harry D. and Dolores E. (Welty) Bentzel. He was a member of Carlisle Baptist Church. Harry was a graduate of York High and received his accounting degree from Thompson Business Institute. Harry had participated in Civil War reenactments for numerous years and was a photographer for the York City Police Department. Mr. Bentzel is survived by three very close friends, G. Jotham Hobbs of York, Corey Gable of Dallastown and Jim Winand of Pasadena, Texas. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday from the LeRoy R. Leber Funeral Home Inc., 2290 School St., York (Shiloh). Final resting place will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. There will be no viewing or visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the S.P.C.A., 66 Big Mount Road, Thomasville, PA 17364-9778.
