Funeral was held at Olney First Baptist church with Rev. Erwin Reed officiating. Mrs. Howard moves to Olney in 1909. Her husband, a well known farmer preceded her in death. She and Elton Hoard married in 1906 at Decatur, Wise County, Texas. They moved to the area from Wise County. She was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors: two sons - Glen A. Howard and Thomas A. Howard of Midland, Three daughters - Mrs. J.B. Guthrie of Seymour, Mrs. C.M. Escue of Penwell, Mrs. T.A. Heers of Atlanta, brother - W.H. Cathey of Olney; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Her mother, was born in Sharp Co., AR on 4 December 1864. She died on 10 May 1933, the wife of J.G. Cathey. They married in 1885. Mrs. E.T. Howard, her daughter, went to Mena, AR to be by her bedside until her death. Her mother lived in Young County, Texas from 1896 to 1925 when she moved to Arkansas. She remained in Arkansas until her death.
