Services were held in the First Baptist Church for E.T. Howard, 69, retired farmer and Olney resident since 1909.

Howard had been ill for five years and suffered the heart attack that caused his death last Firday in his home. Rev. Erwin Reed, pastor, officiated, assisted by C.T. Hedges.

Howard was a member of the Woodmen of the World and the FIrst Baptist Church. He was past director of the Fort Belknap Rural Electrification Cooperative, a post he resigned last year.

He married Maggie Elizabeth Cathey at Decatur, Texas on 4 November 1906. The couple lived at Denton until moving to Olney.

Survived by his wife; two sons - Glenn A. Howard and T.H. Howard, both of Midland; three daughters - Mrs. Blanche Guthrie of Seymour, Mrs. Jewel Escue of Penwell, Miss Margareth Howard of Wichita Falls; his mother - Mrs. Jane Howard of Holliday; two granddaughters; seven grandsons; six sisters.

His grandsons were pallbearers.

A large number attended the funeral services for E.T. Howard. Among them were his brother - Mr. and Mrs. R.L. Howard of Wichita Falls; his five sisters - Mr. and Mrs. Russell Lyles of Archer City, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Mankins of Mankins, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Campbell of Dallas, Mrs. Irene Norris of San Antonio; one niece - Miss Patsy Lyles of Dallas.

Others present: Mr. and Mrs. Guy Staples of Graham, Mrs. Henry Kunkel of Graham, Mrs. Roy Taylor of Graham.
